Deputy Minister of Water Resources and former organizing secretary of Awami League AKM Enamul Haque Shameem MP said that since the BNP lost public support in the 2009, the 9th National Parliament elections due to corruption, terrorism, militancy and looting in Bangladesh.

Now the BNP and its activists are completely isolated. Recently, the divisiveness of BNP is constantly increasing due to militancy, killing people, arson. As a result, the blockade programme announced by BNP is not getting any response like in the past.

He said this in the speech of the chief guest at the extended meeting of Nariya Municipal Awami League at the party office in Shariatpur on Thursday.

He also said that after the arson and terrorist activities on October 28 in the name of grand rally , BNP has given one strike and blockade programme after another, but it is not being effective due to lack of public support. BNP's declared hartal and blockade program is now limited to its declaration, it is not implemented in reality and will not be in the future. No program without public support has ever succeeded in this democratic Bangladesh and will never succeed in the future.

The Deputy Minister said that during these three terms of the Awami League under the leadership of People's Leader Sheikh Hasina, the people have been able to realize that the role of the Awami League government and Prime Minister People's Leader Sheikh Hasina in the development and progress of Bangladesh and the change in the fate of the people of Bangladesh is undeniable. Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina started working as a path and path for the overall welfare, development and liberation of the people of Bangladesh.

He proved that he has no alternative in the development of democracy in Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina's integrity, devotion, strong morale, wisdom and extraordinary leadership have established Bangladesh at a different height in the world and she has been recognized as a world-renowned leader.

Enamul Haque Shameem said that the blockade and hartal program of the terrorist organization BNP, which has no public support and is isolated from the people, is not getting any kind of response like in the past, so it remains limited to announcements. According to the constitution, the next election will be held under the Election Commission, and in that election, the people will elect Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina as the Prime Minister for the fifth time.

Naria Municipality Awami League President Shahidul Islam presided over and General Secretary Zafar Sheikh moderated the meeting, Naria Municipality Mayor Abul Kalam Azad, Upazila Awami League President Vir Muktijodha Fazlul Haque Mal, General Secretary Hasanuzzaman Khokon, Former Mayor Shahidul Islam Babu Rari, Upazila Vice- Chairman Zakir Bepari, Female Vice-chairman Najma Mustafa and others spoke in the meeting.
