Discussion meet, fire drill held in Srinagar on National Disaster Preparedness Day

A discussion meeting and a fire drill were held in Srinagar, Munshiganj, to mark National Disaster Preparedness Day 2025 under the theme "Early Warning, Preparedness Saves Lives and Reduces Losses." on Monday at 11 AM in the conference room of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).
The meeting was presided over by Srinagar UNO Md. Mohin Uddin, while the welcome speech was delivered by Upazila Project Implementation Officer Tajul Islam. Among the speakers were Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Jamin Uddin, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Upazila Engineer Md. Mahiful Islam, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Md. Mainuddin Saad, and Srinagar Fire Service Station Officer Dewan Azad Hossain. Also present were Public Health Engineer Asif Newaz and other officials.
Additionally, several government officials attended the event, including Upazila Social Services Officer Anik Roy, Women Affairs Officer Kanta Pal, Election Officer MK Ahmed, Ansar and VDP Officer Md. Zahirul Islam, Children’s Academy Officer Shamim Hossain, and Information Assistant Sawtaj Begum, along with members of the press.
Following the discussion, a fire drill was conducted at the Sixteen Ghors AKSK High School field to raise awareness about fire safety. The drill was led by Srinagar Fire Service Station Officer Dewan Azad Hossain.
