Discussion, award distribution on World Population Day in Muksudpur

A discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Family Planning Office on Monday at 11 am to celebrate World Population Day based on the theme "Empowering youth to build a family of choice for a just and promising world".
Muksudpur UNO Tasnim Akhter was the chief guest at the meeting. Muksudpur Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Raihan Islam Shovon was the special guest.
The meeting, chaired by Upazila Family Planning Officer Humayun Kabir and moderated by Upazila Assistant Family Planning Officer Rakibul Islam Tushar, was addressed by Muksudpur Press Club President Md. Chiru Mia, Union Family Welfare Assistant Mahbuba Akhter, Muksudpur Municipality Family Planning Inspector Rahijul Hachan Rakib Mia, Gobindapur Union Family Welfare Inspector Sharmin Akhter and Jalirpar Union Deputy Assistant Medical Officer Shilpa Rani Sarkar, among others.
This year, on World Population Day-2025, 6 workers in Muksudpur Upazila were awarded Excellence Awards for their contributions to family planning and maternal and child health care activities.
The following workers/organizations have been selected as the best in Gopalganj district after verifying the marks received for making significant contributions at the Gopalganj district level. Out of these, 4 are from Muksudpur upazila. They are (1) Best Family Welfare Assistant (FWA) - Meherun Nesa Mitu of Ward No. 3 of Gohal Union of Muksudpur upazila, (2) Best Family Planning Inspector - Salauddin Mallick, Family Planning Inspector (FWA) of Gohala Union, (3) Best Deputy Assistant Community Medical Officer - Abul Hasim of Raghdi Union Health and Family Welfare Center, (4) Best Union Parishad Gohala Union Parishad. In addition, Meherun Nesa Mitu, Family Welfare Assistant (FWA) of Ward No. 3 of Gohal Union of Muksudpur upazila, has achieved excellence at the national level this year.
