Esteemed director Kajal Arefin Ome, renowned for his exceptional work, including the popular "Bachelor Point" and “Hotel Relax” series, is set to captivate audiences once again with his latest masterpiece, "Oshomoy."

As the new year unfolds, the esteemed director is set to introduce his inaugural web film, 'Oshomoy,' to viewers. Renowned for his directorial expertise in crafting comedy dramas for audiences both domestically and internationally, the director has expanded his narrative horizon in "Oshomoy." Alongside delivering delightful humor, the film also delves into various facets of contemporary society, offering a nuanced and engaging exploration for viewers. The film is slated for release in January 2024 on the OTT platform Bongo.

The eagerly anticipated first-look poster of the film was revealed on the 1st of January, sparking widespread curiosity among audiences.

The poster features Tasnia Farin sitting cross-legged atop an abandoned trunk amidst a vast heap of garbage. The ensemble cast, positioned behind her in various stances, exudes an air of anticipation as if heading to a significant event. This distinctive poster, deliberately crafted, serves as a metaphorical snapshot of contemporary society, as explained by the director himself.

When asked about the storyline of "Oshomoy" in a recent interview, Ome expressed, "In 'Oshomoy,' I primarily aim to depict the societal phenomenon of show-off. It delves into the stories of ostentation prevalent in today's society. We often strive to showcase what we are not, and in this film, we have attempted to portray some of these societal show-off narratives."

Tasnia Farin, a prominent and talented actress of the era, takes on the lead role in "Oshomoy." The film also boasts a stellar cast including veteran actors Tariq Anam Khan, Monira Mithu, Iresh Zaker, Sharaf Ahmed Jibon, Runa Khan, Intekhab Dinar, Shahed Ali, Shaswata Dutta, Shimul Sharma, Lamima Lam, Ishrat Zaheen Ahmed, Ziaul Haque Polash and more.
