A kidney dialysis center has been inaugurated in Lalmonirhat.on Friday morning.

The Minister for Disaster Management and Relief and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the hospital, Asadul Habib Dulu MP, inaugurated the dialysis center at Dr. Selima Diabetic and General Hospital located in Sonali Park in Lalmonirhat district headquarters as the chief guest.

At the inauguration ceremony, the chief guest said, "Rather than treating people who are sick, the government has taken the initiative to reduce the number of illnesses." For this, the government will appoint 100,000 health workers. Among them, the majority are women. They will go to villages and make people health-conscious. So that people's illnesses will decrease. He also said that the government has allocated the highest budget allocation for the health sector to make healthcare accessible to the people. The quality of healthcare in government hospitals is very poor. Patients do not receive proper treatment here. That is why the government has allocated the highest budget allocation for the health sector this time. It is also cooperating with private healthcare providers.

The inaugural ceremony, organized by Sonar Bangla Foundation Bangladesh and chaired by the Foundation's Country Director and Chief Operating Officer Md. Asadul Islam, was also addressed by Lalmonirhat Diabetic Association Member Secretary Retired Brigadier General Niyamul Islam Fatemi, Lalmonirhat District Commissioner Muha. Rashedul Haque Pradhan, District Council Administrator AKM Mominul Haque, Lalmonirhat District Police Superintendent Md. Asaduzzaman, Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdul Hakim and Dr. ABM Mobasher Alam, among others. At this time, the speakers said that it is an initiative of Sonar Bangla Foundation-Bangladesh to bring medical services to the doorstep of the people. This is the 26th dialysis center in the country. From now on, people of Lalmonirhat and its surrounding districts will be able to get their medical services at a low cost.
