Dhankhandi Residents filed a written complaint of various irregularities against the headmaster of Haji Azizur Rahman Government Primary School under Shahparan police station in sadar upazila of Ward no 33 of Sylhet city.

According to the source of complaint, Haji Azizur Rahman Government Primary School Headmaster Md Tabarak Ali has been working in this school since 2001. Due to working in the same school for a long time, the headmaster is continuing various irregularities.

Among the irregularities, the head teacher Tabarak Ali does not come to the school regularly. Actually don't come on time. He came to school around 12 noon. He used to buy drinks and cigarettes from the shop with the students. He misused his power and removed the name of Dhankandi village from the name of the school.

There are also allegations of corruption, nepotism and abuse of power against the Headmaster Tabarak Ali. The education program is suffering due to irregularities including such autocratic activities of the headmaster. The students of the area are being deprived of the light of education. The purchase of cigarettes by students will increase the interest of young students in drugs. Also, there is anger among the villagers that the name of Dhankandi village was removed from the name of the school by abuse of power.

After filing a complaint with 202 people's signatures on behalf of the school's catchmap, area individuals, ex-students and residents of the district primary education officer on 12/06/24, the district primary education officer asked Sylhet Sadar Upazila Assistant Education Officer Kazi Muha Zafar to investigate the complaint. Responsible for Upazila Assistant Education Officer investigated the matter on the ground and found the truth of the complaint. But till now no action has been taken against the head teacher Md Tabarak Ali.

The demands of the local residents have been strongly demanded to bring back the fair environment of education of Haji Azizur Rahman Government Primary School Dhankandi by taking the necessary disciplinary measures against the headmaster Md. Tabarak Ali as soon as possible.
