The monthly meeting of the Dhaka District Development and Coordination Committee for June 2026 was held at the conference room of the Dhaka Deputy Commissioner’s office recently.
Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam presided over the session, which brought together officials to evaluate regional progress and execute key civic action plans.
During the meeting, the committee extensively reviewed the overall development activities of the district alongside the implementation progress of various ongoing projects. The operational performances and administrative functions of different government departments were also thoroughly evaluated to ensure seamless coordination and accelerate public service delivery across the board.
In addition to structural reviews, the meeting served as a platform to adopt several crucial decisions addressing urgent public health and environmental concerns. Key resolutions were passed to prevent potential outbreaks of dengue and measles, including a directive to conduct a mandatory cleanliness drive once every week and ensure a strictly hygienic environment across all hospital premises.
Furthermore, the committee underscored the immediate importance of launching comprehensive tree plantation programs, strengthening the operational activities of the food department, and advancing various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) relevant to the district.
