Mohammad Ali Sanu, Dimla (Nilphamari)

Member of Parliament for Nilphamari-1 (Domar-Dimla) constituency and District Ameer Mawlana Abdus Sattar inaugurated several development projects and distributed financial assistance among underprivileged people in different unions of Dimla upazila on May 24 and 25.

On May 24, due to a dam collapse at Kaliganj Zero Point area under Paschim Chhatnai Union, he inaugurated emergency geo-bag placement and embankment construction work with the support of the Water Development Board. Later, he also inaugurated the construction work of a bridge and mosque tiling project at Taripara in the same union.

On May 25, he inaugurated earth-filling work on a rural road in Ward No. 1 of Gayabari Union. Afterwards, similar road development work was inaugurated at Chhatnama Kellapara under Jhunagach Chapani Union. He also inaugurated earth-filling work at the Eidgah ground in Chowdhurypara of the same union.
Later, financial assistance from the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund was distributed among 500 poor and distressed people, each receiving Tk 1,000 in cash. In addition, salt was distributed among traders involved in sacrificial animal hides ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha.
Among those present were Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Imranuzzaman, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Rowshan Kabir, Officer-in-Charge of Dimla Police Station Shawkat Ali Sarkar, Upazila Ameer Professor Mawlana Mujibur Rahman, Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Kazi Habibur Rahman, Secretary Kazi Rukunuzzaman Bokul, former president of Upazila BNP Raisul Alam Chowdhury, Senior Vice-President Ariful Islam Liton, Organizational Secretary Golam Rabbani Pradhan, along with local leaders and public representatives.

Speaking on the occasion, MP Mawlana Abdus Sattar said, “We must work together to bring smiles to the faces of poor, distressed, and hardworking people.
