
Deep depression over Bay turns into cyclonic storm, signal No 2 in Payra Port

The deep depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas has moved further northwestward and intensified into a cyclonic storm. It was located 1450 km from Patuakhali's Payra Sea Port, 1450 km from Mongla sea port, 1525 km from Cox's Bazar sea port and 1575 km from Chittagong sea port at six o'clock today.
Therefore, all the sea ports of the country have been asked to show the warning signal number 02. All fishing trawlers have been asked to stay in safe harbor.
Meanwhile, Cyclone Migzaum did not have any effect on the coast of Patuakhali. The Bay of Bengal adjacent to Kuakata is calm. But most of the fishing trawlers have taken refuge in Khaprabhanga river.
