Death of fishery worker due to lightning in Shyamnagar

A fishery worker has died from a lightning strike in Shyamnagar Upazila of Satkhira on Tuesday morning.
Subhash Mondal (43), a fishery worker, was struck and killed by lightning while fishing in a shrimp enclosure in the Chingrikhali area of the upazila. He was the son of Kalipada Mondal from Ratanpur village in Kaliganj Upazila. Anshar Uddin, the owner of the nearby shrimp enclosure, stated that while fishing from a boat in the shrimp enclosure during the rain, Subhash was suddenly struck by lightning and died instantly at the scene.
OC of Shyamnagar police station said the body has been handed over to the family
