Income tax documents also revealed that Ipsita has assets of Rs 22 crore due to various loans and borrowings. He has one and a half acres of land at Hebamule in Narsingdi. He is the owner of a seven-storey house in the luxurious area of Bashundhara residential area of the capital. The house is worth at least 50 crores but the income tax documents show it as 5 crores.

Those concerned said that Matiur Rahman has also tried to legitimize the billions of rupees he earned through illegal means. Ipsita's huge wealth in her name is just an example of that.

Iftekharuzzaman, Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), told the media that Ipsita's wealth is clearly unusual with age and profession. Due to father's influence his income tax file was not examined by the revenue department. He did not stop under the influence of his father.

Those who want to evade taxes in the country get away, and people who want to pay taxes with transparency are subjected to various harassment.

Now the ACC should look into the assets of Matiur Rahman, his wife and children on both sides, brothers and sisters and relatives.
