Culture is the hallmark of a country's development. By looking at the cultural condition of a country, one can know how developed that country is. He wants to work to eradicate the bad culture of Bangladesh and develop a pure culture.
Minister of Culture, Adv Nitai Roy Chowdhury, made these remarks as the chief guest at a reception organized by the Dhaka-based alumni of Alokdia Pukhuria Secondary School in Magura on Saturday afternoon.
The event was organized on Saturday afternoon at Alokdia Pukhuria School Grounds under the chairmanship of Md. Hasanul Bari, convener of the reception committee.
At that time, Md. Monowar Hossain Khan, Member of Parliament for Magura 1 constituency, spoke as special guests. Deputy Commissioner Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud, Superintendent of Police Molla Azad Hossain, Headmaster of the school Anwar Hossain, and Member Secretary of the Reception Committee Touhiduzzaman were also present.
The chief guest also said in his speech that after 17 long years, a government has been formed in the country through a fair and impartial election. The government minister called on the people to cooperate with the government and contribute to the progress of the country.
He also said that the autocratic government has been crippling the country's economy by laundering money for a long time, leaving the nation in danger. Everyone must work together to implement the activities of Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman to strengthen that fragile economy again.
The program of the event includes tree planting, awarding of certificates, and cultural programs.
