Coordination meeting on University World Ranking held at DU

A coordination meeting on 'University World Ranking' was held on Tuesday at Dhaka University Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building.

Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Professor Mamun Ahmed chaired the event. Niaz Ahmad Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Saima Haque Vidisha and Treasurer Prof Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury spoke.

Time Higher Education Ranking Sub-Committee convener Professor Dr. M. Rezaul Islam and convener of the impact ranking sub-committee Professor Dr. Samsad Mortuza presented the concept paper. Sub-committee member associate professor. Rashedur Rahman conducted the program.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan called upon the teachers and researchers to work together to raise the position of Dhaka University to a respectable level in the international ranking.

He emphasized on the formation of committees at the department and institute levels to bring momentum to various activities including excellence in research activities, data collection, and preservation of research documentation on the website. He said that Dhaka University is contributing in various ways to achieve sustainable development goals. He called upon the teachers, researchers and other concerned parties to present these contributions in the form of documentation from their respective positions in the international arena.

It is to be noted that the dean of all faculties, principals of all halls and wardens of hostels, chairmen of all departments, directors of all institutes and centers and heads of offices were present in this coordination meeting.
