Commuter train disrupted in Gafargaon as engine broken

An incident occurred between Mashakhali and Kawraid Railway stations at Gafargaon in Mymensingh on Tuesday afternoon when the engine of the commuter train broke off the hook and left the compartment for about 100 yards.
In this incident, the passengers of the train narrowly escaped with their lives.
Dhaka-Mymensingh train communication was closed for about two and a half hours.
Mashakhali Station Master Aminul Islam confirmed this information and said that the commuter train from Dewanganj to Dhaka left from Mashakhali station at around five in the afternoon. As the train neared the Kawrai station, the engine broke off the hook and left the compartment. Train movement was stopped for about two and a half hours in this incident.
He also said that at around 7:30 pm, when the separated engine compartments of another commuter train were taken to Mashakhali station, the train movement started.
