There are 6 contesting candidates in the 12th National Assembly election in Bogura-5 (Sherpur-Dhunat) seat . Mass voters do not know the other five candidates except the nominated candidate of Bangladesh Awami League.

Six people have submitted their nomination papers for Bogura -5 seat in the 12th National Assembly elections.

However, the 5 people who are participating in the 12th Parliament election as members of parliament do not have much familiarity with politics. When asked why they were suddenly interested in the parliamentary elections, the candidates did not get an acceptable answer.

After reviewing the information received from Sherpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Returning Officer office, it has been found that Bangladesh Awami League is one of the nominated candidates in upcoming 12th National Parliament Election. He is the president of Bogura District Committee of Bangladesh Awami League and Chairman of Sherpur Upazila Parishad Alhaj Mujibur Rahman Majnu. Who is a politician and has a political identity. There is an acceptance in the constituencies.

Apart from this, Mohammad Russell Mahmud has been nominated from the National Socialist Party Jasad Inu Group, Nazrul Islam has been nominated by Islami Oikyazot, Mamunar Rashid has been nominated by Bangladesh Congress, Abdul Noor Sheikh has been nominated by NPP, Ali Aslam Hossain Russell has been nominated by BNF andJatiya Party candidate Omar Farooq.Among them, Jatiya Party candidate Omar Farooq had previously been nominated once and elected.

However Apart from the candidate of Bangladesh Awami League, the remaining five people do not have much political knowledge. They were never active in politics. Their homes are in different village areas of the upazila. As far as is known everyone is involved in different small businesses.

Talking to the locals, it is known that there is no competitor to fight with the candidate of Awami League in this constitution. The general voters of the area said that they know all these candidates and have never heard their names. They say that when the election comes, they see the candidates scattered. During various disasters in the country including Corona virus, the rest were never seen in the area except one. They have never seen any cooperation.

Sherpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer and assistant returning officer Sanjida Sultana said that 6 candidates have submitted nomination papers in Bogura-5 constituencies. All arrangements have been made to make the elections fair and impartial.
