Cold- hit people get Shubh Sangha's blankets in Sherpur

Winter has set in the northern area of the foothills of the Himalayas. The intensity of winter is gradually increasing. The low-income people are getting frustrated by this.

In this situation, Kaler Kantho Shubh Sangha, an affiliate of Bashundhara Group, has stood by them with blankets to ward off the cold.

In the meantime, thousands of blankets have been distributed among the poor and helpless people of Sherpur sadar upazila, Nakla upazila, Nalitabari upazila, Shreevardi upazila and Jhenaigati upazilas in collaboration with Bashundhara Group and Kaler Kantha Shubh Sangha.

As part of this, a blankets distribution program was organized at Nakla Government Pilot High School field on Tuesday noon.

Nakla Press Club's general secretary and Kaler Kantho's Nakal representative Md Mosharraf Hossain Sarkar Babu presided over the blankets distribution program.

Upazila parishad chairman and upazila AL's joint secretary Shah Md Borhan Uddin, upazila AL's general secretary FF Shafiqul Islam Zinnah, Assistant Commissioner (AC Land) and executive magistrate (newly promoted Senior Assistant Secretary) Kawsar Ahammed, Shubh Sangha's GS of central committee Shamim Al Amin, Kaler Kantho's Sherpur representative and human rights activist Hakim Babul, headmaster of Nakla government pilot high school Md Umar Faruk and assistant teacher Mizanur Rahman, Sherpur youth reporters club's president and GS of Sherpur district Shubh Sangha Sohel Rana present as the invited guest.

Among others, Sherpur district Shubh Sangha's member Minhaj Uddin, Nakla Press Club's joint GS and human rights activist Nasir Uddin, organizing secretary and human rights activist Md Nur Hossain, Finance Secretary and human rights activist Abdullah Al-Amin, information-research secretary and human rights activist Asaduzzaman Sourav, member and human rights activist Raisul Islam Rifat, journalist of different media, local dignitaries and volunteers of the upazila, leaders of upazila AL, JL and allied organizations, more than two hundred helpless poor men-women of Nakla upazila were present.
