An orientation program was held with journalists at the district level on the occasion of the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign.

This orientation workshop was held at Faridpur Sadar Hospital at around 11 am on Thursday under the initiative of the District Civil Surgeon's Office.

Civil Surgeon ‌ Mahmudul Hasan was present at the time, Dr. Mamunur Rashid presented the power plant at the program, Dr. Khairul Islam R. M. and Al-Amin Sarwar were present. Members of the Faridpur Press Club were present at the time. It was informed that the 1-day National Vitamin "A" Plus Campaign will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15. On this day, all children aged 6 months to 11 months will be given a blue colored vitamin 'A' capsule (1 launch IU) at 1944 vaccination centers in Faridpur and all children aged 6 months to 59 months will be given a red colored vitamin "A" capsule (2 lakh IU).

For the successful implementation of the National Vitamin 'A' Pl Campaign, the guardians were made aware through a massive campaign by the Faridpur District Health Department. An awareness meeting was held for the prominent people of the society. Imams were also informed by the Health Department to promote the campaign to the Muslims in the mosques.

It was informed at the program that number of children aged 6 months to 11 months - 42,281;
children aged 12 months to 59 months -2,79,803 and total children (A + B) = 3,22,084. The total number of upazilas in the district is 9, 6 municipalities, 79 unions, 243 wards, the program will be implemented. The total number of vaccination centers in the district is 1944. There are 441 field workers of the family planning department, 474 field workers of the health department, and the total number of health and family planning department field workers is 915.

The number of required health workers is 2973, the number of supervision teams at the district level is 10, the total number of first-class supervisors in the district is 306 and the second-class supervisors are 24. The program was sought for the full cooperation of journalists to make this program a success.
