A huge protest march and rally of the memory of the time was held in Khagrachari at the initiative of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal to protest against the conspiracy to assassinate BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Khagrachari District BNP President Wadud Bhuiyan.
As part of the central program on Monday Khagrachari District Chhatra Dal organized a protest rally to protest against the attempts to create mobs by secret organizations that have been accustomed to secret activities for a long time, the destruction of a fair environment for education in educational institutions and the deterioration of law and order situation across the country. But thousands of Chhatra Dal leaders and activists gathered before the scheduled time. The entire city was shaken by various slogans including "Despotism and Razakars" together. Thousands of leaders and activists stopped the movement of vehicles in the city at night.
The speakers at the protest rally alleged that the successors of the dictatorship, including Jamaat Shibir, known as a secret organization, are creating mob terrorism across the country through secret activities and deteriorating the law and order situation across the country. They warned them and called for a return to democratic politics in the interest of the people of the country.
The speakers alleged that in 1971, Jamaat, along with the Pakistani army, killed three million people in this country and robbed the honor of three hundred thousand mothers and sisters. In 1996, Jamaat and Awami League participated in the elections rigged by dictator Ershad and helped consolidate Ershad's power by participating in the elections. In 2006, Jamaat-e-Islami formed an alliance with the Awami League and organized a movement against the BNP, helping to turn the Awami League into a fascist. Therefore, it is time to expose the true face of Jamaat. Because the current generation does not know the past history of the Jamaat.
The protest procession left the court road and went around the main road of the city and held a rally at the municipal Shapla square.
