Case against 50 people including BNP leaders for theft materials worth Tk 5 lakh from power plant in Kalapara

34 members of the gang have been named in the case. whose houses are in Gilatala, Londa and Dhankhali villages. Aminul Islam, Deputy Manager (Admin) of the power plant filed the case.
The case was recorded at Kalapara police station on Sunday, January 12. The goods stolen are various construction materials including copper wire, iron material, steel sheetIt is said in the case that on the night of January 9, the accused entered inside the power plant and stole important copper wires, iron materials, steel sheets and various goods and stocked them near Gilatala market. On the morning of January 10, the goods were being picked up in a car for smuggling. Meanwhile, the security personnel of the power plant with the help of the police camp members along with the officials recovered five tons of goods worth at least two and a half lakh taka along with the car. Another truckload of goods stolen by this gang was seized earlier. Multiple sources in the power plant confirmed that the gang had been stealing and selling hundreds of tons of power plant goods for a long time.
Kalapara Police Station OC Mohammad Jewel Islam said that the case has been recorded as a statement.
