Call to not charge extra price of products in Ramadan: Bandarban DC

Law and order committee meeting was held on Sunday at 10 am under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan in the conference room of Rangamati District Commissioner's office.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Mosharraf Hossain Khan urged traders not to overcharge any product during Ramadan. Orders are issued to maintain adequate supply of products that are in demand in the market.

He said that Iftar food should be prepared and sold in a healthy manner. Requests to maintain uninterrupted power supply during Iftar, Sehri, Taraweeh prayers. Apart from that, mobile court will be conducted regularly to monitor the market, he said.

He also said that there is no substitute for awareness to prevent road accidents. Everyone is worried about the recent fire incidents. He urged everyone to be aware to avoid fire accidents.

Superintendent of Police Mir Abu Tauhid, Rangamati Sadar Upazila UNO Md. Mostafa Javed Kaiser, Chamber of Commerce Director Md. Moniruzzaman Mohsin, Civil Surgeon Nihar Ranjan Nandi, Zilla Parishad Member Vipul Tripura, District Food Controller Kanij Jahan Bindu, District Fisheries Officer Adhir Chandra Das, District livestock officer AKM Fazlul Haque along with district public representatives, media workers and officials and employees of various institutions were present.
