Call for skilling inclusive policies, smart diplomacy at CePAA Meet

Experts and academics at a conference on.Monday underscored the need for skill-based education, equitable women’s rights, national interest-driven diplomacy, and corruption-free governance to rebuild a post-revolution Bangladesh.
The two-day "Bangladesh Conference 2026," organised by the Center for Policy Analysis and Advocacy (CePAA) under the theme "Post-July Revolution State Building: Aspirations and Reality," concluded at the IDEB Auditorium in Dhaka.
Speaking on education, Prof Dr Amir Muhammad Nasrullah stressed building an integrated, research-oriented system and urged essential reforms through technology adoption and policy consistency.
Prof Dr Md Mahmudul Hasan criticized political and ideological biases in women's rights discussions, advocating instead for a research-backed, inclusive framework.
On foreign relations, former foreign secretary Ambassador Abdul Motaleb Sarkar called for a balanced policy focused on economic diplomacy, climate issues, the blue economy, and export diversification.
Presenting a study on youth aspirations, Md Burhan Uddin Noman noted that young people prioritize social harmony, employment, and corruption-free governance. He urged meaningful youth participation in national policy-making.
Former secretaries, diplomats, and policy experts also attended the sessions.
