Businessman fined Tk 80,000 for illegally selling govt fertilizer in Singra

A person named Shibnath Saha has been fined a total of Tk 80,000 for illegally selling government fertilizer in Singra, Natore.
The fine was collected after a raid was conducted in the Hatsingra area on Monday at 7 pm. As evidence of illegal sale of government fertilizer was found during the raid, he was fined Tk 30,000 under Section 12 of the Fertilizer Management Act, 2006 and another Tk 50,000 under Section 45 of the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009.
The operation was conducted by Singra Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nishat Anjum.
At this time, he warned traders to ensure the distribution and sale of government fertilizers according to the prescribed rules and said that regular campaigns against the illegal sale of fertilizers would continue.
