Businessman's body found in Rangamati

 Police have recovered the body of a businessman in Kawkhali, Rangamati. The body was recovered from a bush in the Majherpara area of Nailechhari in Kalampati Union of the district on Tuesday (July 15).
 
The deceased businessman has been identified as Md. Mamun (35). He is a resident of Sugar Mill Adarshgram in Kawkhali Upazila and is a poultry trader locally.
 
A couple has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder. They are Md. Kamrul Islam (30), a former employee of Mamun's business, and his wife Sathi Akhter.
 
After the murder, he was cut into two and buried in the bushes by his former business employee Md. Kamrul Islam (30) and his wife Sathi Akhter. Md. Kamrul Islam (30) was first arrested last night. Later, based on the information given by him, the body was recovered and his wife Sathi Akhter was arrested.
 
Relatives of the deceased and police sources said that Mamun was abducted from Sugar Mill Adarshgram in Kaukhali Upazila on July 7. His wife Seema Akhter filed a general diary with the police station on July 8 as Mamun was missing.
 
OC  of Kaukhali Police Station Saiful Islam said, "The murderer Kamrul will be presented in court and a remand will be sought. All those involved in this murder will be found."
 
Additional Superintendent of Police of Kaptai Circle Jahedul Islam said that the accused Kamrul Islam was arrested from Lakshmipur Sadar last night. Based on the information given by him, Mamun's body was recovered this morning. Mamun was given a drug to make him unconscious on the night of the incident. He was then killed. Legal action is being taken in this regard.
