Budget FY2024-25 : President authenticates national budget for FY 2024-25

President Mohammed Shahabuddin today authenticated the national budget for FY 2024-25 and the revised budget for FY 2023-24 to be placed before the Jatiya Sangsad by Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali.
The Head of the State authenticated the national budget of over Taka Tk 7,97,000 crore for the next fiscal year (FY25) at his Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban office (parliament complex) at about 2.45pm.
Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Senior Secretary of Internal Resources Division (IRD) Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem and Finance Division Secretary Dr. Md. Khairuzzaman Mozumder were present, among others.
This is the country's 53rd budget and the 25th one of the Awami League government in sixth term. This budget for FY25 will be the maiden budget of incumbent Finance Minister AH Mahmood Ali, who previously served as the Minister for Disaster Management and Relief and the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Earlier, on his arrival at the Sangsad Bhaban, Jatiya Sangsad Deputy Speaker Advocate Md Shamsul Hoque Tuku and Senior Secretary of Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat KM Abdus Salam received the President.
The Head of the State exchanged greetings with the officials and employees of the Jatiya Sangsad.
