Budget FY2024-25 : Allocation of Tk38,259cr proposed for agriculture sector

The agriculture sector, comprising agriculture, fisheries, and livestock, got an allocation of Tk 38,259 crore in the proposed budget for FY 2024–25.
The allocation for this sector was Tk 35,880 crore in FY2023–24, according to the proposed budget.
The budgetary allocation for the overall agriculture sector was Tk 33,698 crore in FY 2022–23.
Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali proposed the budgetary allocation during his budget speech at the National Parliament on Thursday.
