BRUR celebrates 17th founding anniv

"Begum Rokeya University Rangpur from 16th to 17th" Begum Rokeya University started its journey on October 12, 2008 under the hands of the caretaker government.
On Saturday, October 12th is the 16th anniversary of Begum Rokeya University. The university is going to enter the 17th year after passing 16th.
With 300 students and 11 teachers, this university education program was started in a rented house at Lalkuthi in the city. Currently, the university is running in a permanent campus with 22 departments in six faculties. The current number of students is about 8000 but since the establishment of the university, it has been immersed in various crises including physical infrastructure and manpower crisis. Even though it was said, it was not possible.
The university has considerable shortage of physical infrastructure. Students' housing crisis is extreme. Only 10% students get housing facilities. 90 percent students are deprived of housing facilities. There is no accommodation for staff.
The national flag, UGC and university banners will be hoisted at 10 am and the main gate of the university will be inaugurated at 10.20 am.
After that, the Ananda Shobhayatra will be held at 10.40 am, tree planting at 11.10 am, cake cutting at 11.30 am and discussion meeting at 11.45 am.
The notice also said that the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Nahid Islam, Advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, will be the chief guest at the discussion meeting under the chairmanship of Shaukat Ali, Professor Dr., a member of the Bangladesh University Grant Commission, It will be the special guest Abu Sayeed brother Md Maqbul Hossain, his father Mohammad Tanjimuddin Khan.
Deans of six faculties of the university will be the speakers.
In the present discussion as the new Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) said "Blessed BRUR Garbo Desh, Abu Saeed's Bangladesh" will take the university to a unique level through the prudence and foresight of the current university administration.
