Brahmanbaria turns battleground, 50 injured

Brahmanbaria has become a battlefield around the quota reform movement. From Sunday morning, the BCL clashed with the anti-discrimination students at important points in various upazilas including the district headquarters. More than 50 activists were injured in the clash, including gunshots. In the morning, students of various institutions are protesting by blocking the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. All types of vehicles are closed on the highway.
Besides, when the students took out a procession at Birasar junction of the city, there were frequent clashes with the Chhatra League.15 to 20 motorcycles were set on fire then.
Besides, when female students took out a procession in front of the city's Government Model Girls school, BCL leaders and activists beat them severely with sticks. At least 15/20 students were injured.
Meanwhile, the protesters set fire to a car parked in front of the police station in Ashuganj. Also there were massive clashes with the agitators in Akhara, Kasba, Nabinagar. Meanwhile, journalists were attacked while collecting news. Several local journalists were seriously injured.
