BPSA urges media to be cautious when publishing news

Staff Correspondent

Bangladesh Police Service Association (BPSA) has requested to exercise more caution and strictly follow journalistic ethics while publishing any report regarding the police force.

BPSA on Friday (June 21) issued a notification in this regard.

According to notification, the organization claimed the recent reports that were published in various media aregarding former and current members of the Bangladesh Police are as 'exaggerated'.

In recent times, print and electronic media have been consistently publishing partial, biased and false reports on former and current members of the Bangladesh Police which appears to have a nefarious purpose of tarnishing the image of Bangladesh Police,” notification read.

Bangladesh Police has always followed the 'Zero Tolerance' policy against corruption.

“No exemption is given to any policeman if he is found guilty of corruption. Departmental action as well as legal action was taken against the police members,” the notification added.
