Boro paddy seedling planted thru ' rice transplanter at Fhulbari

Boro paddy seedlings have been planted on 50 acres of land through Rice Transplanter under the Agricultural Incentive Program at Fhulbari in Kurigram. Deputy Director of Kurigram Agricultural Extension Directorate inaugurated the event at the ground square in Purba Dhaniram village of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon. Abdullah Al Mamun.

Abdullah Al Mamun, Additional Deputy Director (Cereals) Asaduzzaman, Baravita College Principal Noor Mohammad Miah, Farmer Nazrul Islam and others.
In the speech of the chief guest, Deputy Director Abdullah Al Mamun said that boro farming is an example of modern agricultural management. This will not only be financially beneficial for farmers, but will also play an important role in ensuring food security of the country.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Nilufa Yachmin said that in the current Boro season, the target of Boro has been set at 10 thousand 215 hectares in the Upazila. Out of this, Boro seedlings have been planted in 50 acres of land using rice transplanter technology. He said that this modern method of cultivation will play an important role in reducing time and labor and cost in the agricultural sector.
