
Books distribution in festive mood in Rangamati

Primary books have been distributed in the hill district of Rangamati like the rest of the country. Along with ordinary students, the students of small ethnic groups of the hills received books in their mother tongue on the same day.
Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan inaugurated the festival of providing free books to primary and secondary level students at Gaudhuli Amantabagh Government Primary School and Rangamati Government High School at 10 am on Monday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Nasreen Sultana, Sadar Upazila Primary Education Officer Kaushik Chakma and many others were present. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner urged not to be confused about the new education curriculum.
3 lakh 86 thousand 789 general textbooks of pre-primary to fifth class will be distributed in ten upazilas of the district.
Although the book festival is held in every school across the country, a new dimension has been added to the Pahar book festival by distributing books in the mother tongue among the minority students. On the first day, books in their own mother tongue were given to students belonging to minority groups in the district.
District Primary Education Office said that 63 thousand 468 books will be distributed among 28 thousand 155 Chakma, Marma, Tripura students in Rangamati district this year. All minority students from pre-primary to third class are getting this book.
