
Body of BSF member recovered from river in Satkhira

The body of an Indian BSF member has been recovered from the banks of the Ichamati river on the Hardada border in Satkhira.
Locals informed the BGB about the dead body of a BSF member lying on the Bangladesh side of the border river Ichamati on Friday morning.
A boat of Indian BSF's patrol team sank in a sudden storm on Thursday night. At that time, BSF member Mohammad Riaz Uddin (30) was missing even though other members managed to reach the shore. He was serving in Indian Sobaham BSF camp.
On Friday morning, Shakhra BGB BOP in-charge Naik Subedar Anisur Rahman and Indian 85 BSF Commandant Anurag Moni took the body to the Indian BSF after recovering it.
Satkhira 17 BGB Captain Lt. Col. Sanbir Hasan Majumdar said that the patrol board sank due to the storm. Later, BSF member went missing. His body was found in Indian waters on Friday morning. Although the locals said the body belonged to Bangladesh.
