Candidates nominated by Awami League have won three seats in Chapainawabganj district in the 12th National Assembly elections. The winning candidates are Dr. Samil Uddin Ahmed Shimul 43, Chapainawabganj-1 (Shibganj) Constituency, Mu. Ziaur Rahman 44, Chapainawabganj-2 (Nachol-Gomstapur-Bholahat) Constituency and Md. Abdul Odud 45, Chapainawabganj-3 (Sadar) Constituency.
Chapainawabganj-1: candidate for boat symbol in Chapainawabganj-1 (Shibganj) constituency. Samil Uddin Ahmed Shimul got 79 thousand 812 votes. His nearest rival, independent candidate Syed Nazrul Islam, got 72 thousand 709 votes in the truck symbol. Also the independent candidate Moha in the kettle symbol. Golam Rabbani got 22 thousand 124 votes, Bangladesh Nationalist Front-BNF nominated candidate Nurul Islam Gentu got 2 thousand 939 votes, Jatiya Party nominated candidate Md. Afzal Hossain got 766 votes, Bangladesh Islamic Front nominated candidate Nawab Md. Shamsul Hoda got 754 votes, National People's Party (NPP) nominated candidate Md. Abdul Halim got 530 votes.
The total number of voters in this constituency is 4 lakh 71 thousand 88 and the number of polling stations is 158. A total of 1 lakh 84 thousand 453 people have voted, of which the total number of valid votes is 1 lakh 79 thousand 634, the number of invalid votes is 4 thousand 819. The voting percentage is 39.15.
Chapainawabganj-2: Chapainawabganj-2 (Bholahat, Gomstapur, Nachol) candidate for the boat symbol. Ziaur Rahman MP got 1 lakh 15 thousand 51 votes. Chapainawabganj-3: In Chapainawabganj-3 (Sadar) constituency, the candidate of boat symbol Abdul Odud got 91 thousand 603 votes.
