The Mongla Upazila and Pourashava units of the BNP  along with its associate bodies, on Thursday, brought out a protest procession and held a rally opposing nationwide anarchy and terrorism by the banned Awami League.

The protest march commenced around 5:00 PM from the Pourashava Market premises and paraded through the main thoroughfares of the municipal town before concluding with a short rally.

Addressing the gathering, speakers strongly condemned the alleged anarchy and violence committed by the Awami League, calling upon party activists to remain united against any attempts to destabilize the nation.

"We remain vigilant on the streets to foil any anti-national conspiracies and ill-motivated actions by the banned Awami League. Threats of terrorism and violence issued by political leaders residing abroad are completely unacceptable. Politics should be a competition of good sense; inciting unrest through violence is not politics," speakers stated.

The speakers further reiterated their firm stance against political violence and urged party leaders and activists to work together to preserve national peace and order.

The demonstration was attended by Mongla Upazila BNP President Mannan Howlader, General Secretary Abu Hossain Poni, Pourashava BNP President and former Mayor Alhaj Zulfikar Ali, General Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Manik, Organizational Secretary Golam Nur Joni, former Senior Joint Convenor of Pourashava BNP Alhaj Khurshid Alam, Pourashava Swechchhasebak  Dal Convenor Shahjalal Sabbir, and Member Secretary Nur Uddin Tutul, alongside leaders and activists of various BNP affiliate organization units.
