After nearly one and a half decades, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) held its ward council in Nakol Union of Sreepur Upazila, Magura. The biennial ward committee conference was held in a festive atmosphere at the Nakol Sammilani Degree College field with the participation of listed BNP voters from nine wards.

On Wednesday, voting took place continuously from 10 AM to 2 PM through ballot papers.

Prior to the voting, a brief discussion session was held. The event, chaired by Khan Hasan Imam Suja (Team Leader), Joint Convener of Magura District BNP, featured Chief Guest Md. Ali Ahmed, Convener of Magura District BNP. Special guests included Monowar Hossain Khan, Member Secretary of Magura District BNP, Alamgir Hosen, Joint Convener of Magura District BNP, Badrul Alam Hero, former President of Sreepur Upazila BNP, Khandakar Abbas Uddin, former General Secretary, Munshi Rezaul Islam, along with leaders from district, upazila, union BNP, and its affiliated organizations, as well as general voters.

After the voting, in the presence of all candidates’ agents and BNP leaders from district and upazila levels, the votes were counted, and the elected presidents, general secretaries, and organizational secretaries of the nine wards of the union were announced as winners.
