Despite the rain, the 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was celebrated in Gobindaganj, Gaibandha with the participation of a large number of leaders and activists. A colorful motorcycle procession, rally and floral greetings were organized on this occasion.

State Minister for Religion Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln MP spoke as the chief guest at the rally organized on the occasion of the founding anniversary at the Gobindaganj Government High School grounds on Tuesday (September 1).

The rally was held under the chairmanship of Gobindaganj Upazila BNP convener Faruk Ahmed and moderated by Municipal BNP President Rabiul Kabir Monu.

Speaking as the chief guest at the rally, Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln said, "We, the Nationalist Party and others, want to tell everyone present - the leaders and workers of Gobindaganj BNP and its affiliates will occupy the highway and will not leave it. No matter the storms, rains and any adversity, they will not leave the highway, Insha Allah. Threats will not help.

This is our message for those who pray to remain in power for life.

District BNP Vice President and former Upazila Chairman Faruk Kabir Ahmed, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Rezanul Habib Rafiq, Municipal BNP General Secretary Abu Jafar Lelin, Upazila BNP Joint Convener Hasanul Haque Chowdhury Duke, Municipal BNP Organizing Secretary Maidur Rahman Ranak, Abdul Mannan Sentu, Upazila BNP Office Secretary Sajadur Rahman Saju, Upazila Juba Dal Convener Habibur Rahman Akand, Member Secretary Kazi Ehsanul Haque Ripon, Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Sheikh Shah Alam, Municipal Juba Dal Convener Moin Uddin Lipon, Member Secretary Anwar Hossain Golap, Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Syed Alamin Roni and Member Secretary Monir Hossain, along with leaders of BNP and its affiliate organizations, were present as special guests at the rally. On the occasion of the founding anniversary, leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates from various unions and surrounding areas of the upazila gathered at the party office in Gobindaganj town in a colorful procession on motorcycles and various vehicles. Later, even though it started raining, the leaders and activists ignored it and went to the Gobindaganj Govt High School grounds on foot and joined the rally.

Despite the rain, a festive atmosphere was created at the rally venue with the large presence of leaders and activists.

Gobindaganj Government High School grounds were filled with party slogans from leaders and activists coming from various unions.

After the rally, the presidents and general secretaries of BNP from various unions in the upazila and the leaders of affiliates and affiliates went to the party office and greeted State Minister for Religion Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln with flowers.

A large number of leaders and activists of affiliates and affiliates including Upazila and Municipal BNP, Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Chhatra Dal, Krishak Dal, Sramik Dal, JASAS, Matsyajibi Dal and Tanti Dal were present.
