Blinken hopes for progress as US, China air differences

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken voiced hope for progress as he opened talks Friday with China's foreign minister, who warned of rising disagreements between the two powers.
Blinken, opening the meeting with Wang Yi, said he would be "very clear, very direct" but added: "I hope we make some progress on the issues our presidents agreed."
