Binoyabashi Shilpi Gosthi pays tribute to great demise of Shilbhadra Mahasthavir in Boalkhali

The Binoybashi Shilpi Gosthi has expressed deep respect and grief on the demise of the venerable Shilbhadra Mahasthavir, a distinguished social figure of Hazirchar village under Boalkhali Municipality in Chattogram, the respected senior vice-president of Bangladesh Bhikshu Mahasabha, former religious teacher of Bathua High School and principal of Bathua Hitsadhani Vihara.
Founder, Executive Director and General Secretary of Binoybashi Shilpi Gosthi, artist, organizer and journalist Biplab Jaladas attended his funeral meeting held at 5 pm on Thursday.
Present at the event were Binoybanshi Shilpi Gosthi Joint General Secretary Bakul Barua, former president Uttam Kumar Barua, Bangladesh Buddhist Youth Council, prominent social worker Ardhendu Barua, Boalkhali Sammilita Buddhist Parishad Finance Secretary Jeshu Barua Chowdhury, Boalkhali Upazila Branch General Secretary and Binoybanshi Shilpi Gosthi's best friend Kajal Barua, and leaders and well-wishers from various levels of the organization.
The religious, social and human welfare contributions of Shilbhadra Mahasthavir were remembered with deep respect in the Anitya Sabha. Everyone present expressed their grief and condolences on his death.
Later, a minute's silence was observed on the initiative of Binoybanshi Shilpi Gosthi. After the silence, prayers were offered for the peace, happiness and bliss of Nirvana of the departed soul of Shilbhadra Mahasthavir.
The contribution of Shilbhadra Mahasthavira to religious education, moral values, and social welfare will be remembered with respect for a long time by people from all walks of life, including the Buddhist community of Boalkhali.
