Complaints have been raised about fishing by installing shallow machines in Bhola's permanent fish sanctuary at Chilmari in Kurigram.

A person named Masud is doing these activities during the day by removing the branches of the trees kept in the pond of Abhayashram. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon at Patrakhata Bhola Bhola Bhola Bhola Matsya Abhayashram of Ramna Model Union of Upazila.

On the surface, Bhola Ramya visited the permanent fish sanctuary where shallow machines were installed on both sides of the pond to remove the water. At that time, the accused person went to the journalists and said that this property has been enjoyed by my father and grandfather for a long time, how can it suddenly become government property. And besides I have court orders and papers filed with all the offices so I have the power to fish.

Fisheries office sources say that Bhola Rim has recently been officially declared a permanent fishery sanctuary. It was officially without fish. At a cost of about one and a half lakh rupees, cement poles, 6 signboards, 5 nets of 150 feet length, 15 bamboos used for the security of the pond along with flag fences were installed around the shelter. Also, the shelter had indigenous fish worth around three lakh rupees which was stolen by Masud Gong a few months ago, the beneficiary group members alleged. After receiving the news of removing various equipments including the branches of trees placed in the fish sanctuary's pond and installing the machine, it was confirmed by going to the spot.
