Awami League candidate Barrister Shahjahan Omar Bir Uttam has been elected with 95 thousand 478 votes in Jhalkathi-1 (Rajapur - Kanthalia) seat.
His nearest candidate Abu Bakar Siddique of Zaker Party got 1 thousand 624 votes with rose symbol. Also among the other candidates, independent candidate Barrister Abul Kashem Fakhrul Islam got 370 votes for Truck, M Moniruzzaman who withdrew from candidacy got 625 votes for Monir Eagle, Bangladesh Congress Party Mojibur Rahman Dub got 142 votes, Trinamool BNP nominated Sonali Ansh Jasim Uddin Talukder got 282 votes. , Ejazul Haque Ejaz got 1272 votes against Jatiya Party nominee Langal and Mamun Sikder Chari got 97 votes against Cultural Freedom Alliance nominee.
