Barguna district coordination committee reviews dev projects, plans new initiatives

The monthly meeting of the Barguna District Development and Coordination Committee was held on Sunday to review the progress of ongoing development activities and outline future developmental initiatives for the district.
Chaired by Barguna Deputy Commissioner Ms. Taslima Akhter, the meeting emphasized accelerating the region's overall growth through coordinated public services.
During the session, committee members meticulously evaluated the implementation status of various ongoing departmental projects.
Key discussions centered around the construction of a dedicated children's park in the district town, the modernization of local tourism spots, and the formulation of a strategic three-year action plan for all government departments. Furthermore, the committee approved the adoption of several new development projects aimed at fast-tracking infrastructural and socio-economic progress across Barguna.
The meeting, moderated by Tanvir Tajwar, Assistant Commissioner at the DC office, featured speeches and insights from prominent local figures and administrative officials. Among the key speakers were Zila Parishad Administrator and District BNP Convenor Md. Nazrul Islam Molla, Civil Surgeon Dr. Abul Fattah, Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Ruhul Amin Hawlader, and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Animesh Biswas.
Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Mohammad Ashraful Alam, Executive Engineer of the Roads and Highways Department Abdur Rahman, Barguna Press Club President Md. Hafizur Rahman, and Director of Community Radio Lokobetar Monir Hossain Kamal, along with editors of local newspapers and top officials from various government departments, were also present and took part in the review.
