Barguna Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Ms. Taslima Akter took part in a series of comprehensive programs in Amtali on Monday, focusing on environmental conservation, educational quality enhancement, technology-based learning expansion, and raising awareness among students regarding social and cyber security.

Under the "One Child One Tree" initiative—organized by the Amtali Upazila Administration as part of the Cabinet Division's directives and the District Administration's Government Performance Management System (GPMS) innovation and reform activities—DC Taslima Akter distributed 750 saplings of various species among students of Chunakhali School and College and Chunakhali Board Government Primary School. Serving as the chief guest, she handed over the saplings to the students and urged everyone to plant more trees while ensuring proper care for them.

The distribution event was attended by Amtali UNO Muhammad Zafar Arif Chowdhury, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Muhammad Ashraful Islam, the Nezarat Deputy Collector (NDC) of the Barguna DC office, Amtali Police Station OC Md. Yakub Hossain, along with teachers, students, journalists, and local dignitaries.

Earlier during the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inaugurated a "Language and Debate Club" at the institution. Stressing the importance of English language proficiency and logical thinking to meet the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, she expressed hope that debate practices would help students build leadership qualities, analytical skills, and confidence to excel at district and national levels.

During her inspection of Chunakhali Board Government Primary School, DC Taslima Akter observed classroom teaching, overall campus environment, and educational standards, while interacting directly with teachers and students. She inaugurated a modern multimedia classroom at the school, emphasizing the expansion of technology-driven education and urging teachers to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity to ensure quality learning.

Furthermore, an awareness discussion session was held with students of Chunakhali School and College, addressing critical social issues such as safe internet usage, prevention of cyberbullying, child marriage and dowry, protection of women and children, and the ill effects of drug abuse.

Concluding her day-long visit, she distributed wheelchairs to nine children with special needs under the Fourth Primary Education Development Programme (PEDP-4) and handed over bicycles to forty-four rural village police personnel across Amtali upazila.
