
Bangladesh-Japan PPP platform meeting held

The Bangladesh-Japan PPP (Public Private Partnership) Platform Meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office on 18 March.
The event was convened by Mohammad Tofazzel Hossain Miah, Principal Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh IWAMA Kiminori.
The Japanese envoy attended the meeting together with SAKAKI Shinichi, Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, who participated online.
This meeting marks the 6th gathering since its inception in Tokyo back in October 2022. With seven PPP projects currently underway between Japan and Bangladesh, the meeting focused on progress updates and discussed current challenges.
Moreover, fresh proposals for new projects were presented by the Bangladesh Government. Both parties wished for more exciting developments in their collaborative journey towards further progress and prosperity.
