Bangladesh Army's key activities in controlling law & order

Bangladesh Army personnel remain deployed 58 districts through 206 camps countrywide to ensure security of lives and properties of the people and important government establishments.
Two teams of law enforcement agencies led by army halted Jamalpur Central Jail and Chattogram Central Jail's prisoners who tried to flee and protect the arms and ammunitions kept in the jails on Thursday and today respectively, said an ISPR press release.
Besides, the army members resisted incidents of vandalism and looting in different areas in the country side by side with resisting an attack at a temple in Noakhali district for ensuring security of minority community people.
Army members have also been deployed to ensure security of camps of forcibly displaced Myanmar citizens in Cox's Bazar and they conducted joint patrolling with other law enforcement agencies.
Army members have already been deployed in 417 thanas including 29 in the capital Dhaka that will accelerate the drive to recover the lost arms of police, said the release.
Besides, Bangladesh Army is working to ensure security of Bangabhaban, Prime Minister's Office, data center at Mahakhali and different other important establishments.
Ill efforts are underway to create panic among people by spreading rumors on social media.
The people have been requested to use their own thought in communicating with army camps without being panicked at such rumors.
Bangladesh Army stays beside the people and will do so in future for the sake of the people and any need of the state, said the release.
