An award distribution ceremony was held in Singra upazila of Natore under the Performance-Based Grants for Secondary Institutions (PBGSI) scheme, organized by the Singra Upazila Secondary Education Office and implemented by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and the Ministry of Education.
The event took place on Thursday at 12:00 PM in the Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
Presided over by Singra Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mazharul Islam, the event featured Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT) Jannat Ara Ferdous as the chief guest.
Among others present were Acting Upazila Secondary Education Officer Nazneen Sultana and Municipal Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Sadrul Ullah.
Speakers at the event noted that performance-based incentives at the school level are encouraging teachers and contributing to the improvement of the educational environment. Representatives of the award-winning institutions expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Education and relevant authorities for this initiative.
Later, a total of 39 meritorious students from schools, colleges, and madrasas were awarded.
