
Attempted murder case against Shamim Osman in N’ganj

A case of attempted murder has been filed in the Siddhirganj police station, citing the names of 147 people including former MP Shamim Osman, in connection with the attack and shooting injuries on the students during the anti-discrimination movement in Siddhirganj of Narayanganj. Also, 30 more unidentified accused have been made in the case.
Siddhirganj police station OC Al Mamun confirmed the case on Thursday (October 3). Earlier on Wednesday, Md. Fazle Rabbi filed the case with Siddhirganj police station as the plaintiff of attempted murder.
In the case, Fazle Rabbi alleged that on August 4, he also participated in the anti-discrimination movement at Jalkuri Fajor Ali Market area in Siddhiganj along with the students. The accused were armed with sophisticated firearms, pistols, revolvers, semi-automatic machine guns, shotguns, ramadas, chapatis, hacksticks, Chinese axes, swords and cocktail bombs and continued to shoot us incessantly to kill us.
At that time, defendant No. 2 Ayan Osman fired a shot from the left leg of the plaintiff. Later, the locals rescued him and admitted him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
