Attack on doctors: Sanjay Pal arrested from Gaibandha

Police have arrested a man named Sanjay Pal from Gaibandha city's Bus Terminal area in connection with the attack on physicians at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The arrest was made early Monday, superintendent of Gaibandha police Mosharraf Hossain confirmed.
He said, "We arrested Sanjay for their alleged involvement in the attack incident. Legal steps would be taken against him. A case was also filed in this connection."
A teanse situation was prevailing whole day on Sunday centering the attack on doctors at DMCH. The doctors of all public and private hospitals across the country went on a complete shutdown, protesting attack on physicians and vandalism carried out by relatives of a patient at the emergency department of DMCH.
A case was filed with Shahbagh Police Station on Sunday over the attack on the doctors at DMCH.
Amir Hossain, an office assistant of the hospital, filed the cases accusing four named, including BUBT teacher and three students, and 50 unnamed people.
Later at about 7:45PM, the protesting doctors withdrew their strike getting an ensurence from the health adviser to fulfil their four-point demands.
