On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Army distributed Iftar items among the poor, helpless and distressed families in Bandarban on Saturday morning.

Region's GSO-2 (Intelligence) Major Parvez was present as the chief guest at the 7th Field Ambulance Field of the 69th Infantry Brigade under the Bandarban Region and distributed these Iftar items.

During the distribution of Iftar items, GSO-2 (Intelligence) Major Parvez, under the Headquarters 24th Infantry Division, is working tirelessly to maintain law and order as well as peace, harmony and development in the areas under his responsibility in the Bandarban Region. In continuation of this, this initiative is ours keeping the holy month of Ramadan in mind. The Bangladesh Army will continue to work tirelessly to improve the quality of life of all people in the hilly areas, regardless of their race, religion, caste, and any need, the army official said.

Later, various iftar items including rice, pulses, oil, millet, potatoes, chickpeas, and flour were distributed among more than a hundred poor, helpless, and distressed families in the Bandarban Sadar area. Meanwhile, the poor, helpless, and distressed families who came to receive the iftar items were happy to receive them at the beginning of Ramadan.

They said that the well-off people in the society have done all kinds of shopping before Ramadan. But we, who are poor and helpless families, do not even know what to eat for iftar or food during the first fast. We are very happy that the army provided the iftar items and they thanked the army.
