Ambassador of Kosovo makes farewell visit to Foreign Minister

The departing Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Bangladesh, Güner Ureya, made a farewell visit to the office of Bangladesh's Foreign Minister, A K Abdul Momen, this afternoon in Dhaka.

He is scheduled to depart from Bangladesh soon after completing over four years of service as the Ambassador of Kosovo to Bangladesh, according to a press release.

During the farewell visit, the Foreign Minister commended the Ambassador for his active role in advancing bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of fostering more people-to-people contact to strengthen the ties between the two nations.

He extended an invitation for Kosovo to import high-quality Ready-Made Garments (RMG) and pharmaceutical products from Bangladesh, as well as to consider recruiting skilled human resources from Bangladesh.

The departing Ambassador, on the other hand, expressed gratitude to the Government of Bangladesh for supporting the Republic of Kosovo.

He appreciated the progress and development of Bangladesh in different sectors.

He also briefed the Foreign Minister on the current political and economic situation in Kosovo, provided insights into regional developments, and highlighted the mutual interest of the business communities in Bangladesh and Kosovo to enhance trade and investment.

They also engaged in discussions about women's empowerment and emphasized the importance of peace as a prerequisite for sustainable development.

The departing envoy lauded the people, culture, and beauty of Bangladesh, expressing that the country will hold a permanent place in his heart.
