A flight of Air Arabia with 198 passengers and crews onboard narrowly escaped accident following a technical glitch at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport on Friday morning.
The aircraft landed at the runway later and remained stranded for around 12 minutes before it was removed from there.
The Airport Director Group Captain Taslim Uddin told the Daily Sun that the Air Arabia flight from Dubai was scheduled to land at the airport with 191 passengers and seven crews at 8:40am.
It got its hydraulic fluid, uses to move various components like brakes and landing gear, emptied before landing, he said.
“On information, we took necessary actions and participated into the landing process, paving way for its safe landing,” he said.
The aircraft remained stranded for around 12 minutes. All the passengers and crews, however, disembarked safely later, he added.
