After half century, road work is being done by UP member in Chilmari

Locals are elated as road filling work has started after more than 50 years with the personal funds of a UP member at Chilmari.
UP Member Rafiqul Islam has started filling the road with his personal money from Baitul Aman Mosque to Ghafoor Kazi's house in Mudafathana Madhya Sarkar Para area of Ramna Model Union of Upazila.
After a long time, the locals are excited because of the soil filling work on the road.
Rahima Begum said, the father had to swim in the street in the flood. I haven't seen anyone since my marriage. No one cut the ground on the road. There were many members but none worked. We are all happy for the work that Rafiqul member is doing.
Shahidul Islam said, our suffering is over, no member chairman has worked for more than 50 years. We are all happy that the work has started after so long.
Rafiqul Islam, UP member of Ward No. 3 of Ramna Model Union, said that the movement of people in this area has been difficult for a long time. During the flood there was water here.
I have been trying for a long time and started working on 900 feet of road with my personal money. If I am alive, I will talk to the authorities and carpet the road next year.
